The generosity of a local women’s group is having an even greater impact on local health care.

Members of 100+ Women Who Care Chatham-Kent recently donated $10,400 to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation to support enhanced mammography services. As part of a month-long matching campaign from Foundation supporters Bob and Robin Hockney, the donation was doubled to $20,800.

Members of 100+ Women Who Care meet four times a year, and vote on which charitable organization they would like to donate to next. Each member then contributes $100 to the cause.

Since its inception in 2016, the organization has donated $426,975 to 35 community groups and non-profit organizations across Chatham-Kent.
