Today is World Suicide Prevention Day.
A special event is being held in Chatham’s Kingston Park this evening to raise awareness.
A free barbecue kicks things off at 5 o’clock, followed by a moment of silence and candle-lit commemoration walk, and guest speakers.
The family friendly event runs until 7pm.
