A Chatham-based company is making waves in the festival circuit, thanks to a high-tech wristband that can act as ID and a payment system.
Intellitix RIFD technology has been featured at events such as the Ryder Cup and Coachella music festival, handling more than 20-million festival goers.
Peter Fantuz, the Chief Operating Officer says it’s very easy to use.
“You put it on your wrist, you’re holding it up against a piece of hardware when you walk in, it scans you in very very quickly,” Fantuz says. “Then you’re using that same wristband to make all of your purchases in a cashless environment at the event site.”
The company’s Chatham branch is located on Richmond St. in Chatham and has about 10 employees at that office.
