The group Water Wells First is continuing its attacks on municipal officials for what it says is negligence when it comes to protecting its residents. 
Last Friday, the group announced its second Shame Award will be given to Councillor Jeff Wesley, with Mayor Randy Hope the next to be targeted.
Spokesperson Kevin Jakubec says the Shame Awards are an activist tactic.
“We hope to draw attention to this very serious issue that faces everyone in our community,” Jakubec says. “We hope that by giving these Shame Awards, we’re going to be able to get more engagement from our municipality and our administration to stand with the people.”
Water Wells First will be posting a poll on their website, asking the public to come up with a name for the next award.
