The Brooks Family and Water Wells First are demanding an apology from Pattern Energy.

The Brooks family has been dealing with increased sediment in their well water since turbine construction began in early August.
The Brooks family has been dealing with increased sediment in their well water since turbine construction began in early August.

At a press conference last week at the Brooks residence on Brook Line, Water Wells First demonstrated clogged water filters and cloudy water samples from the family’s well.

Pattern Energy released a statement days later saying the water was clear, colourless, and with no visible sediment.

Water Wells Spokesman Kevin Jakubec says their statement is false.

“The water did not flow as one would be lead to believe, the water fluttered and at times was absolutely absent from flowing,” Jakubec says. “This is very concerning to us because it’s a problem that we had expected from the wind companies that they would try to deny responsibility for causing impacts to wells.”

The activist group is planning a large civil disobedience act outside the MOECC office in London later this week.
