Spokesman Kevin Jakubec says he was approached by senior Ministry staff last week to attend a meeting in Windsor to talk about concerns dealing with contaminated wells in Dover and their possible connection to nearby wind turbines.

“What we want to raise with the Ministry is will the Ministry of Environment test and confirm the presence of Kettle Point Black Shale in the contaminated wells that we’ve discovered in Dover Township and now in Chatham Township,” Jakubec says. “Of particular concern to us is what is the safe amount of Kettle Point Black Shale that is allowable for safe human use?”

No date for the meeting has been set at this point.

Water Wells First is holding a public meeting of its own tonight at Country View Golf Course, starting at 7pm to keep concerned residents in the loop.
