A group of Chatham Rotarians are celebrating Giving Tuesday in a big way.
The Sunrise club is divvying up over $8,700 between seven local charities.
One of the recipients is the YMCA, and General Manager Amy Wadsworth says the money will help support the organization’s Strong Kids campaign.
“The funds that we received today will help support children with our strong kids program,” says Wadsworth. “It helps them learn to swim and be active in camp and all the different activities that we have”
Among the other groups receiving funding, Chatham Hope Haven, the United Way, and the Salvation Army Foodbanks.
