The YMCA of Chatham-Kent is hitting the ground running as they kick off their 2016 Strong Kids Campaign.
The goal is to raise money to help families that may not be able to normally afford the cost of “Y” membership.
Jim Janzen is the CEO for Southwestern Ontario YMCA and says their goal is $400,000. With a local target of $110,000.
“Money raised in each community goes to work in the community it’s raised in,” says Janzen. “So, particularly here in Chatham-Kent the $110,000 goal is all allocated for services and programs that happen for the people, the kids, the members that need that support in Chatham-Kent.”
Chatham-Kent campaign chair Jim Loyer says he feels confident that they will be able to reach the goal and help as many families as possible.
