A campaign throughout Southwestern Ontario could give children in Chatham-Kent the chance to go to summer camp.
YMCA branches across the region are hoping to raise $200,000 with the annual Fill the Bus CAMPaign, enough to send 1000 kids for a week of camp adventures, regardless of their family’s financial circumstance.
The YMCA offers day and overnight camp experiences to children and youth regardless of the barriers they might face.
Donations stay within the community in which they were raised, and provide local kids with an experience that will encourage them out of their comfort zone to learn new skills and provide a sense of belonging and social connection.
