Youth Mural to Adorn Wallaceburg’s Municipal Building

A splash of colour and culture will soon be coming to the municipal service centre in Wallaceburg.

The Bkejwanong Youth Council and Chatham-Kent to the Power of Young People–CKY Advisory Group are teaming up to create a mural on the front-facing wall of the James Street building.

Officials say each of the groups will select an artist to take the collaborative lead, working together with the youth groups to create a piece of public art that is vibrant and positive, celebrating the stories and features of both Chatham-Kent and Walpole Island First Nation.

The groups are looking for artists between the ages of 15 and 39, with a payment of $2500 being offered to each.
