Plans are moving ahead for a number of new developments in communities across Chatham-Kent.

At Monday night’s municipal council meeting, members gave the green light to zoning changes and an official plan amendment for a four-unit rowhouse on Park Avenue West in Chatham.

More work still needs to be done before shovels can hit the ground. There is municipal water and sanitary sewer infrastructure available, however the property does not have access to municipal storm sewers.

The issue will return to council with an application to remove the holding provision, ensuring the area has adequate services.

Council also discussed zoning bylaw amendments for a Blenheim housing development, as well as plans for the development of a proposed four-storey mixed-use commercial/residential building in Tilbury.
