Zoning Changes Approved For Proposed Blenheim Apartments

Chatham-Kent has given the green light to zoning bylaw amendments to allow for the construction of a six-storey apartment building in Blenheim on Talbot Street West between James and Montford.

The mixed-use residential apartment building plans to contain 85 units from the second floor up to the sixth, and parking on the main level.

The property where the proposed apartment building is being built is now vacant, but used to be the site of a fruit co-op back in the 1930s and 40s where weighing, storing, packaging, and selling of fruits (mainly cherries) was completed.

The land has been left undeveloped since 2013.
