A special march will make its way across Chatham’s Third Street Bridge this week, supporting women in crisis.

The Zonta Club of Chatham-Kent will be taking to the Third Street Bridge in Chatham over the noon hour on Tuesday to show support for the millions worldwide who are impacted by gender-based violence, including sexual assault, spousal abuse, human trafficking, and other crimes.

The rally will be held as part of the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence – an international campaign that aims to inspire action and end violence against women and girls around the world.

A flag-raising will be held at the Civic Centre at 11:45am, followed by the Zonta Says No rally on the bridge from 12:15pm-12:45pm.
