Funeral arrangements have been set for the three victims of Sunday’s tragic crash in Wallaceburg.

Shae-Lynn Bachus, Victoria Baertsoen, and Matthew Cousins were killed when the car they were in collided with a tanker truck on McNaughton Avenue and Wallace Street Sunday night.

Two other passengers from the vehicle, Mackenzie Vandroffelaar and Selena Bushey remain in hospital.

Funeral arrangements for Bachus, Baertsoen, and Cousins are being handled by Cavanaugh Funeral Home in Wallaceburg.

Bachus is being remembered as “Sugar Shae” with visitation set for the Haycock-Cavanagh Funeral Home, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8pm. She will be laid to rest at Riverview Cemetery during a private service on Friday.

Visitation for Baertsoen will take place from 3-5 and 7-9pm at Haycock-Cavanagh Funeral Home, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg on Thursday and Friday. A funeral mass will be celebrated at Our Lady Help of Christians Church on Saturday, May 27 at 11 AM. Interment to follow at Riverview Cemetery and reception at the UAW Hall to celebrate Victoria’s life and upcoming graduation.

Visitation for Cousins will be held at the Cavanagh Reception Centre, 416 Nelson St. on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8pm. His funeral service will be held at the Reception Centre on Friday, May 26, 2023 at 3pm.
