Three local charities will be reaping the benefits of this summer’s massive RetroFest and RM Sotheby’s anniversary celebrations.
Executive Director Mary Lou Crowley says she’s overwhelmed to have the Foundation of Chatham-Kent Health Alliance chosen as one of the recipients.
“It’s mind-blowing – I’m just over the moon. It’s hard to believe that we are part of this huge celebration and [we’re grateful for] the support. We can’t wait to rock on to the Sam Roberts Band where the proceeds will be coming to the hospital. We’re pretty excited about that,” says Crowley.
Proceeds from June’s festivities will also support the Children’s Treatment Centre and Chatham-Kent Hospice.
Lisa Caron, Fund Development Officer for the Children’s Treatment Centre says they is thrilled to be part of the excitement.
“This is an honour for us to be a part of this great celebration. It’s a great community event for so many people to come and enjoy. And for us to be considered to be a part of this event is just a great honour, and it means a lot for us and our kids that get the supports at our Centre,” says Caron.
The announcement about the event was made yesterday.
