Walpole Island Man Charged After Failing to Follow Bail Conditions

A  Walpole Island man is back in hot water for allegedly ignoring his bail conditions. Police say the man was originally released from custody on March 23rd and told he couldn’t leave his home. The 44-year-old was spotted by an officer late Tuesday night walking on Park Ave. in Chatham and taken into custody.

A 55-year-old Hamilton man is facing impaired driving charges following a traffic stop in Chatham. Chatham-Kent police were called to the scene at Taylor Ave. late Tuesday evening by residents who suspected the man was drunk. He was released with a future court date.
